Are You Friend or Foe of the Brigades?

August 24 The Truth is Stranger Than This Fiction!Taking his cue from Congressional Democrats, Vice President Dick Cheney earlier today blamed his historically low approval rating on the unopularity of President George W. Bush.
In the latest Al Jazeera-Parents Magazine poll, the Vice President was viewed favorably by just 0.2% of poll respondents. Of 1000 "adults" waiting in line to attend a Bon Jovi concert who were asked, "Don't you have an unfavorable opinion of the Vice President?", 997 said yes, 2 said no and one screamed "BON JOVI FU_KING RULES!" Cheney, responding to a question about the poll results said, "When you have such an unpopular President it tends to drive down the approval rating of the Vice President." Asked then to explain why his approval rating is 35% lower than the President's he offered, "I believe Sen. Harry Reid was clear on this. People like the Presidency, but they dislike this President. The leadership of the Democratic party is an unfortunate victim of this circumstance, an alternate venue for Americans to voice their displeasure with the President. In that regard I am no different than Sen. Reid, Sen. Clinton, Speaker Pelosi and others.". The Vice President waved off additional questions and proceeded to deliever his prepared remarks on the emerging threat posed by Christian suicide bombers. August 15 When is Success a "Real Big Problem"? When You're a Democrat!House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) reacted to the possibility of a generally positive report to Congress from Gen. David Petraeus on the military surge in Iraq come September by stating it would be "...a real big problem for us.".
In case you're wondering exactly who is "us" in this parallel universe, why it's the Democrats, of course. Listen, I can understand Jim's frustation. When the New York Times is publishing op-ed pieces such as this one, it forces a treasonous moron like Clyburn to focus on subtleties, on missed benchmarks and ineffective Iraqi leadership, as opposed to bombs and dead soldiers, to convince the American people that we can't win in Iraq. Well the fact is we can and WE ARE WINNING! Let's not kid ourselves, we've yet to break the back of the enemy, as today's horrific events in Qahataniya bear witness to. But here's the thing, while the murder of 250+ innocent civilians wil inevitably be spun by the morally corrupt Left as evidence of failure and the need to withdraw, the Iraqi population clearly disagrees. They recognize who the enemy is, as does everyone it seems, save for the leadership of the Democratic party who, while they have their problems with Al Qaeda, are clearly focused on a much more dangerous enemy, namely George W. Bush. So it's come down to this sad realization - the party of the "people", the party of Teddy Roosevelt, FDR and JFK, the party of my father and perhaps yours, is compelled to root for the enemy, to spin good news as bad, to plead with their own caucus to embrace surrender despite hopeful signs and clear evidence of surrender's consequences. Sad but true. - Posted by MobiBlogr from mobile phone. August 14 DECISION '08 BUMPER STICKER - "Just Crazy Enough to Win!"For the crossover ticket of Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and Ron Paul (R-TX).

July 22 SHORT TAKE - Can a Girl Get a Plan?I think Undersecretary of Defense Eric Edelman was a bit harsh in responding last Monday to a request of the junior Senator from New York. After all, Mrs. Clinton was just being her presumptive little Socialist self demanding the Pentagon begin planning for the evacuation of our military from Iraq. Was it really necessary to remind her that we do not prematurely and publicly discuss such matters, lest our allies get the idea we're preparing to leave them high-and-dry once again? And to reference Somalia as an example? That's just cold.
Let's be honest, who wouldn't want to have a plan for immediate surrender already in place prior to their Inauguration? And it's clear to this reporter Mrs. Clinton has the safety of the troops in mind as well. Why else would she insist on addressing the need to distribute sufficient quantities of white flags to our men and women on the ground? Not to mention the mandatory war crimes interrogation envisioned for each of our returning heroes. She's going to make quite the Kommandant-in-Chief, wouldn't you say? - Posted by MobiBlogr from mobile phone. July 17 "Read Him His Rights and Get Him a Mouthpiece."I really have to thank Rep. Gerald Nadler (D-NY) for getting us off to a rousing start with this tidbit. We get to cover both the true face of the enemy within AND media bias.
The following exchange took place a few weeks back (take note) between Mr. Nadler and former White House aide Bradford Berenson during a hearing on habeas-corpus rights for suspected-terrorist detainees, held by the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Preventing the Government from Detaining Terrorists (and Democrats): Nadler: "I don't see how you can pick someone up in New York and say that his rights are different or less because he's accused of being an enemy combatant, based on whatever information, as opposed to his being accused of being a murderer..." Berenson: "...We need to be clear about what that means. It means that if we had Mohammed Atta on September 10th, we would have had no choice but to treat him as a criminal defendant, which would have meant no interrogation, no intelligence and the World Trade Center is coming down." Nadler: "That's exactly right." (repeats) There you have it, the true face of the enemy revealed in a moment of jaw-dropping candor, no interpretation necessary. It just boggles the mind, all the more so when you realize this goofball's congressional district INCLUDES GROUND ZERO! Enough said. Perhaps more stunning is the fact that an elected representative can make such a statement for the record with complete impunity. Recall this exchange took place a few weeks back. Somehow we've news-cycled right past this. Is it just me or is it reasonable to expect the cable news networks to set aside their obsession with Paris Hilton's incarceration, George W. Bush's approval rating and rising ocean levels long enough to at least report this story? Strike that. It's my fault. I forgot. He's just another Democrat with an STD (Sensitivity to Detainees). Which brings me to Keith Ellison... - Posted by MobiBlogr from mobile phone.
